PETER PAUPER PRESS, founded in 1928, is one of America’s leading publishers of fine gift books, humor books, compact references, travel guides, unique journals, quality stationery, holiday cards, and innovative children’s activity books.
I was given the opportunity to pick a book from Peter Pauper Press and chose the Los Angeles Little Black Travel Book. These compact guides take you to the top destinations with insider tips and foldout neighborhood maps. They offer thirteen titles, including Walt Disney World, New York, Paris, and Chicago. I chose LA for my son. He has been wanting to fly to LA for a while now. I gave it to him for his birthday. I told him he needed to plan his trip for when we went. This book is divided into sections based on location. Then it lists places to see, where to eat, shop and stay. Along with a brief description of the area and a little fold-out street map, they offer suggestions based on dollar amounts from $-$$$$. The pages of the book are on a spiral, so it lays flat when open. I like that it is small enough to fit into a purse without being bulky. LA, here we come!!
I also received this beautiful compact Engagement Calendar. I love the colors and the slightly embossed trees. Each engagement calendar covers 16 months (from September 2010 to December 2011) and provides space for notes and addresses. A handy elastic band marks your place, and the binding lies flat for ease of use.
The last product I received was the Floral Silhouette I-CLIPS Magnetic Page Clips. These laminated folding magnets can be used as secure bookmarks, fridge magnets, paper clips, and more. I have been using mine as a bookmark, and since it is magnetic, it stays securely on the page.
