I really, really love this new LED night light I received from aloka-designs. The light arrived in two boxes, one for the light and stand and one with the charger and remote. These lights are a low voltage, low heat LED light meaning that even if they are left on all night they will not get hot to the touch or burn the skin. There are 16 different designs available including butterfly, elephant, train, fairy, unicorn, dragon, owl, bear, hippo, lion, monkey, cat, boat, giraffe. fish and the design we received the rocket.
Once it arrived, I was surprised at how thin the light itself was. The light is actually thinner than the remote! I like that it doesn’t take up a lot of space on this dresser, like some night lights.
I love all the functions that the remote features. Aside from the 12 different colors, there are so many other neat options. There is a sleep mode that dims to a low level. A side lamp function when pressed it changes to white and then will slowly go to full brightness. The timer button lets the light stay on for one hour then automatically switches off. Then the most fun… the rainbow button. This button will cycle through all the colors, so no need to pick just one! I do wish though, the light went into sleep mode while in the rainbow function. So while there are multiply functions, only one of the functions can be used at a time.
This is where the remote would come in handy. If your child likes the rainbow function but you don’t need the light on all night, just keep the remote in your room and you can turn it off from the door, no need to go in!
