I received the new National Geographic Expedition Shoe Lights from Uncle Milton to try. The National Geographic line of toys is geared to bring out your child’s inner explorer! At first I thought why in the world would you want lights on your shoes, but then my kids started to play with them. There are 2 light function modes: Night (Red Light ) and Path Mode (Regular Light) and the light is pretty bright too. My son took them out to try at night and now I need to get another pair for my other son. They had fun playing with their friends in the evening after it got dark. They stayed attached to the show laces but I did have to wrap the laces around the holder so they wouldn’t fall off when they were running. If your child likes to go on night hikes or play outside when it gets dark, these are sure to please.
