A few weeks ago, my son took a summer camp class at our local Little Gym. It was a skill camp which is unlike most if their other camps. This one focused on gymnastic skills. My son has never taken a gymnastics class so I was worried that he wouldn’t like it. But there were other boys in the class and he said he had a lot of fun! Three weeks later he still asks me if he can go back!
In case you missed my Little Gym review a few weeks ago, the summer camps are for children aged 3 to 12 and are three fun-filled hours a day. Monday through Thursday it is 1-4 and then on Friday 9-12. But the hours may vary per location as each Little Gym can set their own schedule and what camp they would like to offer each week. Each camp also has a craft and snack time that ties into the theme for the week.
I like that there are both men and women as “leaders” at the camps. All of them were very friendly and great with the kids, helping each kid flip and do cartwheels. It was a very hands-on and structured, not just a sit back and let the kids go wild class.

This seemed to be all the kiddos favorite, the air track. Near the end of each class, they would inflate this and the kids would jump, hop or flip themselves down.
There are still a few weeks left to sign up for a camp! This might come in handy so you can get a few hours in for back to school shopping!
