I took my son to see the Peter Rabbit Movie just a few weeks ago when they were off from school. I have always loved the story of Peter Rabbit, as the Easter Bunny would always bring me a chocolate bunny every year, with the story tucked inside. So when I saw the commercials for this new movie, it looked… well, adorable! I had secretly been hoping that my son would go with me to see it!
The movie starts out in the modern day but with the classic Beatrix Potter characters. Think of it as Peter Rabbit 2.0. This isn’t your cutesy-wutesy, lovey-dovey Peter and pals. This is a fast-paced, thrill-seeking movie with a whole lot of hijinks! My 10-year-old was laughing, I was laughing, the audience was laughing! I highly recommend you take some time to watch Peter Rabbit; I know we will be watching it again!

Growing up under an English mum, I of course read all the Beatrix Potter books. Roll forward a few decades to when I was pregnant with my twins I wound a beautiful set of all her books plus a piggy bank with Peter Cottontail and an inscription painted on it; both were finds in a consignment store. I snatched them up!
We have had memories of Peter Rabbit or Peter Cottontail most of my life! With books or in movies and in playing games.
I have not seen the movie,yet. I read Beatrix Potter books to my children when they were younger.
We have not seen the new movie yet, but very excited to! I had Peter Rabbit books as a child, and my children read them as well! I would love to share this with my kiddos!
I haven’t seen this movie yet. I’d love to watch it with my grandsons. They enjoy watching the peter rabbit show on TV so I know they’ll enjoy this cute movie!
