Peaceable Kingdom’s new game is Cauldron Quest Cooperative Board Game for ages 6+. What’s unique about this game is that you work together to win, not against each other, for one winner. My two kids, ages 6 and 7, have been becoming very competitive lately; Cauldron Quest made them work together. And they actually enjoyed being a team!
The object of Cauldron Quest is to get the three correct ingredients into the Cauldron before all six paths are blocked by the evil Wizard, who has cast a spell to destroy the kingdom! The players must work together to find the three correct ingredients hidden under the green potion bottles and move them up the paths and into the Cauldron before the Wizard blocks all the paths. If you do not get all three potion bottles with the correct ingredients to the Cauldron before the paths are blocked, the Wizard triumphs and the kingdom is destroyed.
The first time my kids played, they lost, and their Kingdom was destroyed, but they lost together, so they loved it. They had fun with it and kept playing again until they won. The game board and potion bottles are really cute and make the game feel like an actual quest to make a potion.
Cauldron Quest is a great game for getting kids to play together and work as a team. My son had to learn to be patient with his younger sister because it took her longer to understand all of the rules. They even came up with a way to change the rules a little so our 3-year-old could join in the quest. Cauldron Quest is a great game for a family with many kids!

We have not played any cooperative board games.I can surely see the advantages to having siblings play these types of games and I am looking forward to seeing how this pans out in play with the grandkids!

This game looks like so much fun. I love to play board games with my girls and we go to a friend’s house for game night once a month. This would be great for the three of us to play together or for them to play with other children at game night.

I’ve heard good things about cooperative games, though I have yet to play one. I think my kids would enjoy this board game.
