With the holidays quickly approaching, now is the time to think about that huge headache of a meal. BUT it doesn’t have to be a headache. No really, it doesn’t. HoneyBaked Ham is there to help. I went to my local store on Beechmont and they had me covered! I have had quite a few meals from this HoneyBaked Ham store and every time they have never disappointed.
This time, I picked up the sliced and glazed turkey breast. This turkey is fully cooked (yeah, no spending all day cooking) and coated in the delicious crunchy sweet glaze. Also available is a whole tender turkey in either oven roasted or gently smoked, but they are only available on a seasonal basis. Each of the whole turkeys are also fully cooked…fully cooked! Since I purchased the sliced turkey breast, I decided to make siders. This is a great idea for leftover turkey or even for guests for the holidays. You can serve with a variety of toppings like any one of their mustards or sauces, I personally like the HoneyBaked Honey Mustard Mayonnaise the most.
Sides are plenty at the store as well. If you want traditional Thanksgiving sides they offer stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato souffle, and green bean casserole. The sides are just heat and serve and serve 4-6 people. As you can see I went with the mac and cheese with a white cheddar cheese sauce, a great addition for my sliders.
You have to have dessert right? While two seasonal pies are available, pumpkin and pecan, I opted for a cinnamon and walnut coffee cake from My Grandma’s. This was the first time that we have tried the coffee cake, it was delicious! The cinnamon and walnuts were not only swirled into the center but they were baked onto the top as well giving it a nice crunch. While the coffee cake is usually thought of as a morning treat, at least in my house, this would make a great dessert for after dinner with a cup of coffee as you and your guests sit around enjoying the last few hours of your Thanksgiving meal!
