I received the new Swiffer Sweep & Trap from P&G to try out before it’s released into stores. I currently use a Swiffer Sweeper for our hardwood floors to dust, but I also have a battery sweeper vac that I keep in the kitchen for the crumbs. With three kids, boy, do we have crumbs!
I was sent the Sweep & Trap, Sweeper Dry Cloths, and a few “messes” to pick up (like I needed extra messes!) The messes included mulch, bolts, and Cheerios, all of which the Sweep & Trap easily picked up. I thought the bolts would be challenging, but the rubber blades swept them right up. There are no batteries required, making it lightweight and easy to use.
The Sweep & Trap combines two of my cleaning products into one, saving me time! The 360 head swivels to get into all the corners and dusts those places. When you clean with the Sweep & Trap you can only go in the forward direction, or the particles you pick up may come back out. This was the only downside in using the Sweep & Trap.
The rotating blades and dirt bin are easily removed for cleaning and just as easy to reattach. Just pinch the grey buttons on the dustbin, and it pops right out. The dust cloths fit into the flexible grippers like the Swiffer Sweeper.
Overall, I am pleased with the Sweep & Trap; not only is it easy for the kids to use, but I can dust and clean up the crumbs at the same time.
