School has been in session for at least a month for most kids, and families everywhere are settling into a routine. At least part of that routine is studying and homework to review the day’s lessons. And while I know that workloads vary from school to school and grade to grade, we all know that tests and quizzes are part of daily school life for our students. Math is one of those foundation subjects; start them early and often, and the kiddos will be breezing along by middle school. And one of the keys to success is practice.
The whiz kids at Splash Math have created a clean and neat online solution to help your kids with math prep. While there are many online solutions, Splash Math makes it easy to practice bases on grade (currently grades 1-5 offered), provides a summary of key concepts and math facts by grade, and tracks success for both the child and parent. But most of all, it is a fun math practice for the kids.
Sign up is easy enough with just an email address and password to think up, and you are off. The trial version lasts for one week, after which you will need to pay $10/month or a discounted $79/ year. This will allow two children to be set up as users.
Each child gets there own account and is tested and challenged based on their grade and performance. At the end of each lesson, both the student and parents can view the progress and any areas that will be a focus during the next session. It is super easy for kids to navigate on their own and even fun and different from their flashcards or written practice work.
While you are likely already involved in your child’s academic career, if you are reading this, it’s worth repeating… Splash Math isn’t designed to take the place of a parent, but Splash Math is a fun and easy tool to help kids master the grade-appropriate materiel.
With a quick and easy sign-up process, a fun and functional interface, and a clear and concise summary of your child’s performance, it all adds up to a great product!

With the new iOS app, to be released shortly, you will be able to get access to unlimited content, i.e., Grade 1-5, and you can use it on any device (web, iOS, and Android). The data will be synced, and also you can see the real-time progress of your kids with “Splash Score.” Watch for the release.

I homeschool my kids and that would have been a really helpful program when they were little.

Wow! This sounds like great for extra math practice and help. Thanks for the code….big help. My grandson is being homeschooled for the first time, and I can see where this would be a wonderful addition to his curriculum.

My sister could have used this app when we were growing up. That was 50 years ago so it wasn’t around.
