I received several packages of each of Santé nuts to sample. They have four varieties: Candied Pecans, Candied Walnuts, Garlic Almonds and Roasted Salted Pecans. My two favorites were the candied pecans and candied walnuts, either of which I can toss into my salad or eat straight from the bag. Both are coated with nothing but the purest cane sugar. Both of these went fast too! The garlic almonds, sad to say are still sitting in the closet. We did give them a try, but the garlic flavor wasn’t a big hit. The roasted salted pecans were great too. These were salty and went nicely with a cold beer. All of the nuts tasted very fresh and crunchy, these are not something that has been sitting around on the shelves. You can tell they started with the finest of nuts and a meticulous process they use to get such a great tasting nut.
On the Santé Nuts website, you can learn about food and wine pairings for the different nuts. And you can also get great recipes like the Cider-Poached Apples with Candied Walnuts, Rum Cream, and Cider Syrup. This sounds delicious.
