What is Orange Glad? “We are the sweet ambassadors who are passionate about finding the best bakeries around and introducing them to you!”
I stumbled across Orange Glad, a gourmet dessert monthly subscription service and having the sweet tooth that I do, I had to check them out. With the Sweet Box Monthly Subscription, you have the option of a one, three or six-month subscription filled with five hand-picked treats and goodies! I received the February Box which was all ready for Valentines. Included in the box is the Menu which tells you about the product, what company it is from and best by date.
A Couple of Squares: Valentine Sugar Cookie – Cookies are still made the old fashioned way at A Couple of Squares. The dough is rolled, cut, decorated, and packaged all by hand. I liked the hard crunchy icing, it went down nice with a cold glass of milk!
Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatier: Chocolate Heart Lollipop – Bissinger’s is a premium handcrafted chocolatier that dates back to the 17th century! You can’t go wrong with a chocolate lolly.
Chocomize: Belgian Milk Chocolate on a Spoon – Chocomize uses only premium Belgian chocolate in all their products. This cube of chocolate is meant to be melted into a warm mug of milk for true chocolate milk.
Desserts On Us: Lacey’s Almond & Dark Chocolate – Winner of the 2009 sofi gold award for an outstanding cookie! These cookies were my favorite of all the desserts! The thin toffee wafer has a coating of dark chocolate which normally I do not like but the flavor paired well.
Renaissance Kosher Foods: Coconut Macaroon – Since I do not like coconut, I force my husband to try them…which wasn’t too hard! He said they were very good with a flaky crunch.
None of these treats went to waste in this house! They were all so fresh. The only problem I had is that the Lacey’s Almond & Dark Chocolate and Coconut Macaroons did not have ingredients OR an allergen label on them. I do have a son with peanut allergies so allergy labels are extremely important in this house.
