TeenyMates are new collectible sports figures from Party Animal Toys. These figures are about 1” tall and are officially licensed by the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL. Add this to their line that also includes over 65 colleges and throwback series in the 3″ figures called Lil’ TeamMates and you can have yourself a little army!

I received several packs of the NFL Series 2 TeenyMates (the latest series). The first bag my son opened had the Saints, a team that he has liked for some time now. Also in this series are the Superbowl Champs The Seahawks, along with the Cowboys, Steelers, and Bears…32 teams in all. Included in the bag are two 1 inch mini figures, 2 puzzle pieces and a brochure that shows all in the series along with 6 of the rare figures. These little figures are really cute and they make a fun collectible for kids.

If you are looking for a little bit bigger collectible sports figure, check out the 3 inch Lil’ TeamMates Series. I went with the football series to review this time as I really needed to get a Seahawks Figure. There are 4 different positions available: receiver, lineman, running back and quarterback, although it varies by the team on what has been retired or is still active. On the bottom of these little guys is what series they are along with their position. The head, arms, and legs are able to turn so you are able to position them. Also, the helmet does not come off which is nice so if the kids do play with them, no lost pieces.

Lil Teammates

Now, I do have a funny story behind why I choose the Seahawks… my son who is 10, made a bet with his dad that if the Seahawks won the Superbowl that dad would have to be my son’s butler for a day. They talked about this for two weeks, so you can imagine my son’s surprise when they actually won! So this little dude is to serve as a reminder to my son. By the way, he has yet to cash in on his winnings…I think he is saving that for a day he can get the most out of it!

That’s the best Superbowl story I’ve heard. I could use a butler for a day (week, month, year…)
