TeenyMates are new collectible sports figures from Party Animal Toys. These figures are about 1” tall and are officially licensed by the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL. Add this to their line that includes over 65 colleges and throwback series in the 3″ figures called Lil’ TeamMates, and you can have a little army!

I received several packs of the NFL Series 2 TeenyMates (the latest series). The first bag my son opened had the Saints, a team he’s liked for some time. This series also includes the Super Bowl Champs, the Seahawks, the Cowboys, the Steelers, and the Bears, for a total of 32 teams. The bag includes two 1-inch mini-figures, two puzzle pieces, a brochure showing the whole series, and six rare figures. These little figures are really cute, and they make fun collectibles for kids.

If you want a slightly bigger collectible sports figure, check out the 3-inch Lil’ TeamMates Series. I went with the football series this time, since I really needed a Seahawks Figure. Four positions are available: receiver, lineman, running back, and quarterback, though what’s retired or still active varies by team. On the bottom of these little guys is what series they are in and their position. The head, arms, and legs can turn so you can position them. Also, the helmet doesn’t come off, which is nice, so if the kids play with them, no pieces get lost.

Now, I have a funny story about why I chose the Seahawks… my 10-year-old son bet with his dad that if the Seahawks won the Super Bowl, his dad would have to be his butler for a day. They talked about this for two weeks, so you can imagine my son’s surprise when they actually won! So, this little dude is a reminder to my son. By the way, he still hasn’t cashed in on his winnings…I think he is saving so that he can get the most out of it for a day!
