We have a 3 season room that despite having a ceiling fan, during the summer can get quite hot. So when NewAir reached out for a chance to review the Frigidaire 2-in-1 Personal Evaporative Air Cooler and Fan (MSRP $120), I took it! I know that even though I have the windows open, the ceiling fan on and then wanting to use a fan, it won’t make the room cold, but I do think it will make it more bearable to sit out in during the hot summer months.
The fan cools up to 175 Square Feet and can be used two ways. Choose the energy-efficient evaporative cooling function to add moisture to dry air to cool down, or let the tower fan oscillate on its own on humid days.
The set up was super easy, pop on the wheels, fill up the water tank, and it is ready to roll… quite literally! It is lightweight and easy to maneuver around.
Included is a 1.5-gallon water tank along with gel-based ice packs to chill water for even more efficient cooling! The water tank holds enough water to last for eight hours between refills.
The simple remote has come in handy so many times already. The icons on the remote match the control panel on the fan so it is easy to use.
The control panel on the fan is simple to use.
Check out my video that talks about the fan itself and the control panel options.
