So when I realized I was pregnant (you know BEFORE I peed on the stick!) I was SHOCKED! Since I had a horrible pregnancy just 2 short years ago, I wasn’t sure my body was able to go through such an ordeal again… needless to say, I was scared and didn’t want to take a pregnancy test!
That’s where my BFF comes in! She basically begged me to go to the store and get a test… I waited 3 days (I had to get some courage!) and got a test on the way home from picking the big girl up from school! I came home and was SHOCKED that it said I was pregnant, after all I was taking the test like 5 days before my missed period 🙁 I started shaking and wished I had waited for the Hubs to be home. But, after I calmed down I went and grabbed the BIG SISTER shirt and put it on the little sister to tell Daddy when he did come home from work. I’ll just say he didn’t catch on…
Once the smoke cleared and I was excited about the pregnancy, I secretly wished for a boy, but, anticipated another girl. We LOVE our girls and can’t imagine life without them! However, I do have a Mother in Law who likes to remind me that we needed to have a boy to carry on the Loehner last name… so I grabbed an Intelligender Gender Prediction test and peed in yet another cup at 13 weeks pregnant. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I never heard of anyone I know taking one of these tests.
I was sure to read the directions (OK, I read them like 3 times so I wouldn’t make a mistake!) and with my first-morning urine saw almost instant results! The test was pretty simple really. Pee in a cup, inject urine with the syringe into the top of the results cup, twirl around for a few seconds and watch the color of the window change. I was a little worried because the smell was a little unpleasant and the injection hole on the top of the results cup started to bubble and fizz. But, all was well!
I was THRILLED to see the BOY! result and although I doubted that would be our actual finding in a few weeks on the ultrasound, I kept that hope with me!
So we now have the test of two confirmed ultrasounds and I’m excited to say…. we are having a BOY! We are over the moon about the news, especially BIG sister!!! We’ve been buying all things little boy and I’m pretty sure the Hubs is excited to see a different change of color in the house!
So the IntelliGender Gender Prediction Test was 100% correct at 13 weeks pregnant! Now I’m off to find some more little boy things and race car decorations for his room…
