Bring the Outdoors In with The Air Wick National Parks Collection

Air Wick National Parks Collection

Air Wick celebrated National Park Week, April 20–28… (did you even know there was a National Park Week?), by releasing six new limited-edition fragrances inspired by the essence of our national parks. Air Wick developed the scents inspired by the unique flora and elements of popular parks such as the Grand Canyon, Denali, and American Samoa.

The Air Wick National Parks Collection is available in scented oils, scented candles, reed diffusers, and a Freshmatic spray. I received a Denali Candle and four scented oils, along with the scented oil warmer, to test out, and I did a little unofficial smell test with the oils. I received four out of the six new scents to try out and of those the winner was clear…American Samoa, with a coconutty fragrance everyone could pick up on and liked best.

The six new limited edition fragrances include:

Grand Canyon:

• Be awestruck by the breathtaking majesty of Grand Canyon National Park and discover the subtle floral notes of delicate cactus blossoms carried in the warm summer breeze.
• My testers thought this had a sweet, fruity scent with notes of cherry and mango.

Virgin Islands:

• Find yourself in the idyllic paradise of Virgin Islands National Park and uncover the delightful notes of tropical plumeria and sweet honeysuckle.

American Samoa:

• Explore the lush paradise of American Samoa National Park to experience the sweet, refreshing notes of native coconut and island palms.
• My testers picked up the coconut right away. It also had a slight vanilla scent. This was the big winner; 3 of the 5 “smell testers” preferred this scent.

Denali:

• Seek renewal in the sun-drenched valleys of Denali National Park, breathing in the clean notes of pure cotton grass and fresh spring air.
• This one sad to say was the least favorite. Thoughts on this were not good. My testers said this reminded them of dryer sheets, a bathroom, and soap.

Gulf Islands:

• Bask in fragrant scents that take you to the Gulf Islands, rich in white-sand beaches and shores that evoke sun-drenched, sweet notes of a summertime paradise.

Hawai’i:

• Escape to a tropical island sunset at Honokohau National Historical Park and savor the unspoiled notes of exotic papaya and hibiscus flower.
• My testers could all pick out the citrus and papaya notes. They also said they smelled orange, tangerine, and grapefruit.

Next time I go to the store, I am looking for the other two scents to see what they smell like. I love having scented oils in almost every room in the house. I also like changing it up a bit instead of having the same scents in every room all the time, and when new seasonal scents or limited editions like the National Parks come out, I tend to stock up!
