Did you celebrate National Moscato Day on May 9th? I didn’t even know there was such a day! But then again, I don’t need a special day to have a glass of my favorite wine! The growing interest in Moscato shows a shift in how Americans are thinking about wine. It’s seen as more approachable as a younger generation breaks from the traditional wine rules and seeks out sweet and flavorful wines for enjoyment during more casual occasions. I love trying new wines, especially sweet wines. The Moscato wine is sweeter and pairs nicely with chicken, turkey, pork, crab, and shrimp.
Take the Gallo Family’s “Moscatofy Yourself” quiz to get matched up with one of the three Gallo’s Moscato’s to your individual tastes. The quiz also offers new ideas on mixing it up the next time you want to uncork a bottle. I took the quiz and got “White Moscato,” a classic, just like the first Moscato ever produced. Leave me a comment on what Moscato you were paired up with. And now for a fun summery Moscato recipe from Gallo Family Vineyards:

I took the quiz and got Red Moscato! I also tend to like sweeter wines! Thanks for the recipe, I think I would like the ginger taste along with the wine!
