Since I have started my weight loss journey with Nutrisystem. I have been eating yogurt like crazy. I never use to eat it beforehand, though, so I have been trying all the brands and flavors that I might like. I really like the greek yogurts and was glad i had the chance to give Dannon Oikos a try. Oikos is available in 7 flavors: Strawberry, Plain, Vanilla, Black Cherry, Blueberry, Honey, and Peach. I tried the vanilla and the blueberry flavors.
Dannon Oikos greek yogurt is a traditional greek style product. It is strained and not blended like some of the greek yogurts you may find in your grocery store. I like that fact that it is high in protein and reasonably low in carbs. It helps to satisfy your hunger at breakfast or as a snack and doesn’t have that artificial sweetener taste that so many products seem to have.
The fruit varieties have a fair amount of fruit flavor and pieces in them. This product has the fruit on the bottom and you can stir it together if you like. There is some room in the container if you wanted to add granola or other mix in’s.
Overall the product is a good tasting greek yogurt and is priced great. It seems easier to find because it is made by Dannon but my 2 of my local Kroger ($1.29) stores were sold out and I and I had to buy it from Walmart ($1.00).
