Oceanhouse Media just released their newest Tacky the Penguin omBook, Tacky and the Emperor, for the low price of $1.99 for Apple devices.

It’s common knowledge that Tacky was never the best-dressed penguin, but when he and his friends prepare for the arrival of the emperor, Tacky gets carried away and ends up in more than just elegant attire! Tacky brings his own unique brand of humor and entertainment to the emperor’s visit. Enjoy this wacky addition to Tacky’s myriad adventures in which friendship, kindness, and laughter always win out!

Our Take: This is the second Tacky app that we have had the chance to review. My little one just loved Tacky Goes Goes To Camp, “Tacky is funny” he told me.  This one is just as cute. He loves reading along and tapping on the screen to hear certain words. I hear him singing along to the songs, it is so cute.

There are three ways that you can enjoy this book:

•  ”Read to Me” — listen to the narrated story with words highlighted as they are read
•  ”Read it Myself” — read the book in its traditional form
• “Auto Play” — plays like a movie, automatically reading and turning pages. Great for younger children!
