Disclosure: I participated in a campaign for Sprint on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC). I received a product sample to facilitate my review and to thank me for participating.
I was recently selected to be a Sprint Mom, which means that over the next few months, I will be bringing you the latest and greatest from Sprint by testing out cool new products! For being a Sprint Mom, I received the new HTC One Harman/Kardon Edition (M8) phone along with the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio Bluetooth speaker.
I have been testing this phone for just a little over a week now. I have been using an iPhone 4s, so this was quite a change for me. The screen is so much larger than what I am used to, and it is longer as well. It has a 5-inch Full HD screen, something my current phone does not have. This phone runs on Android, something I am unfamiliar with. There are two features that make this phone stand out: the sound quality for music and the camera.
If you love music, then the Harman Kardon Edition is for you! You have access to Spotify’s catalog of more than 20 million songs! With revolutionary technology that restores all types of compressed digital music and provides a more lifelike headphone listening experience, the beautifully crafted all-metal HTC One (M8), with superior design inside and out, provides a music experience unlike any other.
Spotify allows users to play music on demand, create playlists, discover new music, share tracks with their friends, listen to songs offline, and listen to music without ads across multiple devices. Spotify comes with six months of free service. We uploaded several songs from our library, and even when the volume is turned up, the quality is awesome! It is clear with no static.
I am in love with the camera features on this phone as well. I have been wanting a phone with a better camera than what I have now. I take so many pictures, and I want the quality to be great so I can have them printed. This phone features several modes: Selfie, Camera, Dual Capture, Video, Pan 360, and Zoe Camera. The pictures that I have taken with this are unmistakably sharp. This image was taken with the Dual Capture. The little image of me can be moved around and placed anywhere.
- The Selfie feature is nice because there is a three-second countdown. Once you take the picture, you can add effects and filters with a click of the button. My iPhone is horrible at taking selfie pictures!
- Dual Camera snaps a pic of the scene in front of you and a shot of yourself in a single photo or video.
- Pan 360 is another awesome feature. After you pan the scene, you can tilt the phone to look around.
- The Zoe Camera feature is awesome. You can take a combo of burst shots and a 3-second video clip for advanced editing features later.
I also received the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio. This is the ultimate sound companion for all your smart Bluetooth-enabled devices, delivering room-enriching sound through its four powered speakers and dual passive radiators. All you need to know is that it sounds great! Have one of these at your next outdoor BBQ, and you will be the hit of the party!
