Snow White and the Huntsman DVD Review

I have watched this at least 10 times within the past week! I love it!! When it came out to the theaters, I thought “Oh great another Snow White” and I didn’t pay much attention to it. Then I received a Blu-ray screener copy and I am glad I did. First, let me say that I love the time period, I love watching movies such as The Tudors or Elizabeth. The backdrop was just gorgeous, with filming in places like Whales, Scotland, and England, you would never know what was computer-generated. I was hesitant about watching the behind the scenes features only because I would lose that “grand image” in my head of the grandeur and elegance of the film. To see how they actually made the set or what was CGI would lose some of its appeal. But I did watch it, and I wasn’t disappointed. There is a 360 tour where they set you in the castle or in front of the Snow Whites Mirror and then you can move around and the camera takes you on a 360 tour of what the room was like all around. This movie is definitely a keeper in my collection!

Snow White and the Huntsman is a wholly original adventure story told on an epic scale. Together with a handsome prince (Sam Claflin) enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power, they assemble an armed force to recapture the kingdom.
