I was recently chosen by Mom Central to receive a T3 Source Showerhead to review. But this showerhead claimed to be like no other showerhead! It states that it is supposed to remove 95% of chlorine from shower water and a 64% reduction in frizz…umm yes, please!
Once I received the showerhead, I did notice how big and heavy it was, at least compared to my current showerheads. The middle section unscrews as that is where the filter sits. The filter should be replaced every 4-6 months (or 5k gallons) for optimal results or when the window in the filter is black. Additional filters do run about $25 each. I didn’t want the hassle of changing it out so I left that task to my husband. It took him all of 5 minutes, the installation was super easy to replace.
The following information was taken from my local water companies annual water quality report:
- – A 10-minute shower can take 25 to 50 gallons of water, just thought you would like to know.
- – The Chlorine (ppm) level in 2012 was 0.98 and the range is a low of 0.2 to a high of 3.4. So the level of chlorine is on the lower end in my area.
After using the filter just twice I did notice a difference in the way my hair laid when fixed. I have naturally wavy hair so I need to use a blow dryer to straighten it every day. After using it for several days now and even after all the “prep” work I do to my hair, my hair feels smoother. We also have hard water so my skin doesn’t feel as dry either. T3 patented technology effectively removes more chlorine over a broader temperature range than other similar filters, resulting in:
- 64% reduction in Frizz
- 28% increase in Body
- 47% increase in Comb-ability
- 28% increase in Shine
Who doesn’t love those numbers…right?
The T3 Source offers 8 different spray settings. I had two of them that were my favorite, but I don’t know what setting there were to be able to tell you. The top photo is one of the massager settings, this felt good on my sore shoulder blades and the bottom setting was a fine setting, the one I use the most.
Overall, I am very pleased with the results I am seeing by using this showerhead not only for my hair but skin as well. And at the cost of only having to change the filter two times a year, that is a small price to pay to look good!
The T3 Source Showerhead is available on Amazon.

Fights against frizz…I didn’t even know shower heads mattered in that. How interesting to know that a shower head can not only massage but make your hair look better.

Love the different settings. This looks really nice. Great that it has a filter, too. It’s scary what can be in your water. Now, you can really enjoy your shower.

What a great showerhead! Not only does it filter your water (my skin continues to dry fast due to our hard water), but it also has many settings for gentle or massaging!! Love it!
