My mom is a very sweet, kind and loving mom.
The center and glue of our family.
A simple..in a good way charming southern lady.
A fabulous cook,moves everyone..and I really mean it.
And, loved by everyone.
She died recently, way too young 68!
I believe a broken heart because of her grandsons shocking early death in his 20s..then her dog.
She is missed very much, but she left us many life lessons and big shoes to fill

My mom passed away 25 years ago at the young age of 61. My last day spent with her was Mother’s Day. She was in a coma and my siblings and I crawled into her hospital bed with her and told her how much we loved her. She was buried with her Mother’s Day cards.

I have to echo what a lot of the other commenters are saying: my mom is my best friend. I just moved back to my home state (NY!) and am in the process of buying a new house. It’s been bumpy! But like always, my mom is right there with me, giving advice on owning a house as a single woman, pointing out things I don’t know to look for and teaching me each step of the way! <3

I love my mom! She lives in MA while we live in PA, so I don’t get to see her as often as I’d like to. My favorite thing about my mom is that she’s always supported my decisions…even if she didn’t always agree with them!

My mom passed away a year ago in April. She was my best friend and confidante. I lost a part of me when I lost her, and I hope to be half the woman she was. Thanks.

My mom is wonderful, she was always there, tough when she had to be, otherwise sweet and gentle and kind. She used to make us do homework over the summer, something we hated at the time but we think how smart and right she was!

My Mom is no longer with us. I look back and admire the things she went through with such courage. She was a Korean War vet and served afterwards. I was the reason she had to go (back in the days when women who were pregnant could no longer serve) She had 4 children and my Dad wasnt the best. She worked not one but two jobs, yet made sure she was home when we got home and had a meal for us. She worked a full time day job and a job in the evening.

My mom is amazing. I am sure we all think we have the best mom around, but I will tell you a little bit about why my mom is not only amazing, she is truly my best friend. My mom faced many personal challenges when she was growing up that could have turned her into different directions instead she used those challenges to help others overcome the same unhealthy environment she grew up in. She shared her story and listened to others. My mom has always been right behind me quietly guiding me into becoming a strong independent woman. She may not always agree with the paths I have chosen in life but she guides me and lets me steer the ship. If I fail, she is there to redirect with loving guidance, minus judgment. I am truly blessed.

I was 27 when my mother passed 24 years ago. Sometimes I’m surprised I’ve made it this long without her; I miss her terribly. She had such grace and really focused on people’s character, not their “status” of any kind. I hope I am following her example in that regard (even if I still have a bit of a temper — sorry, mom! Still working on it!)
