Did you watch the premiere of MasterChef Junior Season 3 last night? My seven-year old likes watching all the kids come up with these amazing dishes…is it wrong to be jealous of all these little kids? I despise cooking and would love for my kids to learn how to make these amazing dishes for us. Heck, I would settle for my kids learning just the basics! Gordon, I could use some help please! Did you watch it? What did you think?

My daughter isn’t old enough to cook or bake by herself. She likes to be the little helper though and hand me things or stir. She loves to bake cakes with me but I’m not sure whether it’s the final product that keeps her interested. 🙂

My kids love to help in the kitchen. My oldest can bake cookies and make simple dishes on her own, like fetticini alfredo… but none of us are like the kids on this show! These kids are amazing!

I love this show, the only problem I have is when they cry, it’s heartbreaking. My son loves to cook, he’s a vegetarian so he cooks quite a bit. He makes an excellent quesadilla. Pretty sure that’s his go to dish.

I am not a good cook and my kids never really seemed interested until my son took a class in school. Every since then he has expressed interest, but he loves cooking breakfast, having eggs and pancakes.

My child is a trained chef, but the best part is that his son may be the pickiest eater ever. To combat this, we have attempted to involve him in the kitchen, fail. He loves raw veggies and fruits, so we can’t fault him , of course. So we work on dips and beverages.

My kids want to help cook. But for the moment can only do little things like put faces on stuff or adding candy, fruit, and toppings on stuff. They are still to young to mix or take to many directions. When they can do more I know they will love to cook!!!^_^

My 2 daughters, who are 3 and 6, loves to “help” me when I bake cupcakes and muffins. They “help” me to mix the batter, crack the egg and put the ingredients which will often result to a messy table. LOL. 🙂 They also love to decorate the cupcake with frosting and sprinkles.

I think it is just marvelous that such young children can come up with this cooking expertise. My daughter at that age had no interest in cooking except putting a can of corn in a pan and cooking it up for her and her friends. She had to put corn in everything. I have never watched this show.

Our kids like to help out in the kitchen, but they don’t bake in the same sense as the kids on the show. They like to make pizza because it enables them to decorate their own individual pizza.

I try to get my kids to help in baking or cooking. They enjoy helping and learning what real food is. Helps them pick out what they want to eat and in turn they want real food not fast food
