LandGrabbers: Medieval Real Time Battle Strategy By Nevosoft
UPDATE: This app is no longer available but you can read our other app reviews.
Imagine that you are in the Middle Ages. It’s the time of castles, knights, and the Crusades. Now imagine that you are a brilliant military leader with your own troops. What could prevent you from conquering the world?
The goal of the game is to attack your opponents and gather as many houses as you can without losing any of your houses. There are different ranks of the army you can play as and you receive coins during the game to use to upgrade ranks and other important factors like strength or rate of fire. Now throw in a time limit, the better you do the more coins you will receive. On top of that, you only have a certain number of men in your army. So, when you attack a house you need to make sure that you are sending as many as possible but you need to wait until the numbers on the house are at the optimal level before you send them back out to attack. A game of strategy yes indeed!
The game states for ages 4 and up but my almost six-year-old could not figure it out. Heck, I couldn’t even figure out how to play at first. There are lots of instructions on how to make the “Landgrabbers” move about and attack. The only thing I could make them do was move building to building but nothing was happening. It took me a few tries but I figured out what I needed to do was gather the red Landgrabbers enough times and attacking the other side before they overtook my house.
There are three different maps: Forest, Desert, Iceberg, and an Island map that will be released soon. But you do need to complete the nine different levels within the map before you can advance to the next map. Or you have the option of unlocking the next level within the map for with coins. There are also in-app purchases so make sure to check your settings if you have a child playing.
Characteristics:
- Unique level mapping design for deeper tactic capabilities
- Dozens of magical artifacts to work your magic
- Three incredible enemy armies
- Five types of buildings with unique features to attack or defend from the enemy
- Three difficulty levels that will challenge even experienced strategy experts
- Gorgeous graphics and catchy soundtrack create a medieval atmosphere

This looks somewhat like a game that my adult son plays and my little nephew likes to watch. The game and the controller are actually too complicated for the little one to manage, but this is aimed towards his age group so it would be a wonderful fit! Thanks for the lead!
