I received an assortment of cards from Hallmark of which I was able to use all but two. I sent out 7 cards to family and friends and the kids were excited when some of them even wrote back! When was the last time you penned a handwritten note to a family or friend? Every time my kids receive a gift I make them sit down and write a personalized thank you letter to the gift giver and I always send them out within one week.

I write all the time everyweek
I know I’ve done it since then, but the main letters I remember writing were 6-7 years ago when my Granddaddy would write me at camp when I worked there during my college summers and I’d write back. I hope it hasn’t been than long ago but those are the last I remember. Those are so special to me now that he’s gone, his wisdom, prayers and love poured out on the page. I’d like to get back to those days.
I send out birthday cards and sympathy cards regularly. I like sending cards because its more personal.
I always send Birthday cards to family members I won’t be seeing around their happy day.
Last time I took time to handwrite letters was Friday. My kids decided they wanted to write letters to their favorite Disney characters. So I sat down and helped them write them!

Wow, when I really reflect, I suppose it’s been at least 3 months since I have handwritten a note to someone. I can think of a TON of emailed congratulations, birthday wishes, etc, but the last handwritten correspondence has been at least 3 months.
i wrote a handwritten birthday card to my husband for his birthday last month. we always make a point to do that for each other.
I write cards quite often really, I think it means a lot more than a text message, or email to take the time to send a handwritten card
It has been so long i don’t remember.
Its been about a month. I wrote my son a letter to put in his care package.
I’ve been helping my daughter to send postcards to her cousins who are spread across the U.S. Does that count? Other than that, I’m horrible about sending cards. I usually text my siblings and call my parents. If I’m really on the ball, I mail them all Christmas cards too.

I try to pick out cards that really mean something. That fit the person they are going to and really convey what I want to say. I take time and care in choosing. I always write a sentence or two but nothing really more than that.

Since my mother – who wrote great letters and corresponded regularly with a long list of people she hadn’t seen in years – passed away, I gradually degraded to phoning and eventually to posting Happy Birthdays on Facebook rather than writing. The last time I hand wrote a card was probably six years ago when I wrote thank you letters to people who sent condolences on the death of my husband.
With Christmas coming, I will be writing several cards.

In August I sent my sister a birthday card with a handwritten note. I send birthday cards with handwritten notes to all of my siblings-all six of them.
This month, it was my Granddaughters and Mother’s birthday and I always personalize the cards.
Letter writing has become a lost art for sure! I do not write letters. I DO write notes in cards. But I do know the kids I send cards to would love to get a letter with the card. I know they would be happy to get it.

I hand write cards almost every other week to 4 elderly ladies. They are all widows and in their 80s. They love to get mail and I love to write them. I also write my son who lives in South Carolina, I live in MO. I want these people to know that someone cares about them. I last wrote on Sunday night. September 15th.
