Brave: Storybook Deluxe By Disney
“Brave: Storybook Deluxe” is a complete retelling of the film for children ages five and up. The story follows Merida, the Princess of DunBroch, through a courageous voyage to defy an age-old tradition and forge her destiny.
Brave App Review: I didn’t think my five-year-old would like this story because it seemed geared toward girls. But we listened to the whole story last night, and he loved it. Without giving too much away, the mother turns into a bear, and Merida sets on a quest to change her back. I love the whole theme of the story, from the setting in Scotland to the tale of kings and queens. The narrator of this app has a Scottish dialect to lend to the authenticity of the setting. As with all Disney Digital Books, there are tons of extras like interactive tap and play features, scenes from the movie (which I like), read to me function, or read myself option. A neat feature is recording your voice or your child’s voice to read the story.
There are games like scavenger hunts, puzzles, and coloring pages (just look at my son’s beautiful rendition of Merida), as well as an archery game featuring scrolling animation and pop-up targets!

My grandchildren are always looking for new books or app to enjoy. We will take a look at this one today!
