I received a jar of the new Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto Sauce to try, and upon opening, I was sure that it would have a strong aroma. Surprisingly, I found the pesto to have a subtle scent of garlic and basil, but not cheese or pine nuts. The consistency is thick enough to stick to the chicken perfectly during grilling but thin enough to toss with some cooked noodles or spaghetti squash.
I decide to make a quick and easy chicken and spaghetti diner. I marinated chicken breast in pesto sauce for about an hour. Then I tossed it over freshly cooked spaghetti and garnished it with sun-dried tomatoes. Boom, dinner!
Since I had some pesto leftover, I mixed the rest in with some veggies the next day for lunch, delish!

This stuff gives me major heartburn does not matter if it is homemade or out of jar. BUT I buy it anyway, last week I bake spaghetti squash and used the pesto. It was so good! BUT…………..
