I loved my trip to Paris, but if you have never been the author, Maria Castellucci Moore does a wonderful job describing it, making sure to use all five senses to draw you there!

Vivienne’s grandfather challenges her to take it all in, to see Paris differently. He wants her to visit all the places she normally goes to, but this time to take notice of everything… and that’s exactly what she does. From the sight of all the vibrant flowers in the flower shop, the taste of buttery croissants at the bakery, the pungent aroma of cheese at the cheese shoppe, listening to the violins at the ballet performance at the opera house, to the feel of exquisite hat fabrics at the hat shoppe.

This darling book offers cute, almost watercolor-like illustrations of Vivienne’s stops, and the story is also a fun way to “explore” the wonders of Paris.
