I was recently chosen with the task of coming up with my twist on McCormick’s Spiced Nuts Recipe. Instead of using Lawry’s Seasoned Salt and McCormick Allspice, I opted for something sweeter…Slow Cooker Cinnamon Almonds with cinnamon and vanilla. These turned out great and tasted delicious!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. of whole almonds
- 1 1/2 cups granulated white sugar
- 2 tsp. McCormick Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 egg whites
- 2 teaspoons McCormick Pure Vanilla
- non-stick cooking spray
Mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl and set aside
In another bowl, mix egg whites and vanilla. Whisk until frothy.
Pour the almonds into the egg wash and make sure they are completely coated.
Then pour into the sugar mix and stir until completely covered.
Generously spray your slow cooker with cooking spray. Then pour the coated almonds into the cooker. Cook on low for 2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes as not to clump.
Once finished, you will be able to tell as they will start to harden up, transfer to a parchment-lined cookie sheet to cool.
Sit back and enjoy the sweet-tasting cinnamon almonds! Let me know what you think. Do you have any variations on this recipe?

These sound so good! I have made almonds in my slow cooker but with a different recipe. It used maple syrup and dried rosemary for a very unique flavor.
