The holistic, sustainable approach to design makes Lacson Ravello the desirable uniform for women passionate about the environment—easy, effortless, and elevated style.
The Woman Behind Lacson Ravello
Kristina Lacson McConnico is the Founder and designer of the Oakland, CA-based sustainable clothing brand Lacson Ravello. After years of working in the garment industry, she launched her brand in 2015 after being in remission and on the mend from her second breast cancer diagnosis. A few hours after she launched her website, she received a call from her oncologist saying that she was no longer in remission and had breast cancer for the third time. She was so excited about the future, but the universe had other plans for her.
Feeling like her world was yanked right out from under her, and after spending so much time, energy, and money on Lacson Ravello, it was overwhelming to decide now about the next steps. Ultimately, she decided to leave the site up and run; thanks to the support of her loving husband, Lacson Ravello, it became a welcome distraction and respite from the difficult rounds of treatment.
Now a three-time breast cancer survivor, she has prioritized supporting the organizations that impact breast cancer patients the most. Lacson Ravello has now given back to/donated a proceed of sales to:
- Breast Cancer Foundation/Susan G Koman
- Women’s Cancer Resource Center
- UCSF Breast Cancer Center
5% of October 2022 sales will go to the Women’s Cancer Resource Center
About Lacson Ravello
Lacson Ravello is obsessed with effortless style with clean lines and subtle detailing. They take favorite things about classic fashion, eschewing the typical “rules” of seasonal design, and create updated collections that can be mixed, matched, and worn year-round. The people and environment around us, current fashion trends, historical references, and life in California inform the designs.
Small capsule collections are thoughtfully designed in the Oakland studio, where value, longevity, and simple common sense are considered—everything you want from fashion right now. Each style is cut from responsibly sourced or environmentally-friendly fabrics and trims—natural fibers, sustainable materials, or deadstock (leftover fabric from mills and manufacturers). Pieces are then ethically made in locally-owned San Francisco Bay Area factories.
