I’m not sure if now is our generation of the “Baby Boom”, but, I do know A LOTTA pregnant Mommas right now…my friend (and old neighbor) is scheduled for her c-section this Friday… so positive thoughts and prayers for her being a strong-willed 41-year-old Momma giving birth to her second boy!
The first time around I REALLY wanted to know if my baby bump should be called him or her. I would rock in the baby’s nursery and find myself calling the baby “it” and I HATED that! Being this was my first pregnancy, I counted down the weeks until I had my second ultrasound at 20 weeks. I was super excited to see the growth of the baby, make sure baby was healthy and super excited to find out if my baby bump was a boy or a girl.
Anyhow, for any pregnant Momma, I think she secretly “knows” if she is carrying a boy or girl from the day she realizes she has a plus sign on the stick! {Am I not right?!?} My instincts were correct the first time and OH! so wrong the second time around…. I thought for sure baby #2 was a boy…. and I was STUNNED when we went for our Gender Ultrasound when I saw girl parts 😉
See I am one who is a planner… I like to plan as much as I possibly can so that I can prepare and have things done on time. This chick is NO procrastinator (as my 5-year-old would say “That’s for sure!”). But I’m super excited (if God blesses us with a third child!) about a new way that will allow Pregnant Mommies to find out the sex of the little bean in the womb as early as 9 weeks with a Gender Prediction Test. It’s super simple as it is a urine test! Plus you can find out the results in as less as 3 days!
So I wanna know, do you find out the gender of the baby or do you keep it a surprise? I wish I could be a surprised kinda person….

I would rather be surprised. My mom was always able to properly guess, though-and can usually tell other people which they’re having!

I think if we are blessed with another miracle (not like we are trying, mmmk?!?) I want it to be a surprise! We already have two beautiful girls and if we are lucky enough to have another I hope I can keep it a special moment since it’ll probably be our last 😉

So Jamie, were your “motherly instincts” right?!? Did you have a girl???
