Chuggy and the Blue Caboose By Auryn Inc.
Chuggy and the Blue Caboose is based on Don Freeman’s book, which was originally published in 1951. I love the story’s vintage illustrations and the positive message about being different. This is an excellent app for any little train lover!
Lucy, the little blue caboose, was once part of a circus train that had come loose, and she was left standing alone. All the other cabooses made fun of her for being different – for who has ever heard of a blue caboose? But she did have just one friend, Chuggy, an old-fashioned little engine who works in the train yard switching, hitching, pushing and pulling the freight cars. Chuggy asked the switchmen about Lucy one day why she was all lit up again. Mitch and the other Switch-man are fixing her up as a club car, a special place to keep warm during the cold winter. When the worst snowstorm arrives, the railway grinds to a halt until Chuggy saves the day. To find out what happens to Chuggy and Lucy, you will have to read the story. I don’t want to spoil the ending for you.
A great feature of this app is customization. You can use your voice to record the pages, so when your child reads the story, they will hear your voice.
There are three ways to read this book: Read to Me, Auto Play, and Read Myself.

Just popped over from the SITS Girls.
What a great review of a cute story. Am I understanding that this story book is produced for the iPad? Is that it?
