I was able to head to Mimi’s Cafe on October 1 when they kicked off their month-long celebration for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I treated my mom to a nice breakfast of Cinnamon Brioche French Toast. I have never seen her eat that much! This was her first time trying the brioche and she loved it! I also received one of their new Pumpkin Spice Muffins for free to try. While I am not a big pumpkin fan, my five-year-old devoured it!

Breast cancer has unfortunately always been in my life. My Grandmother is a survivor; she was diagnosed before I was even born (31 years ago). My aunt passed away when I was only 10. That had a huge impact on me, and I have been a fighter ever since. I participate in pretty much every breast cancer event that I can. I have lost many more friends through the years, but I have also met some incredible survivors.
