Disclosure: I tested out Walmart’s Online Grocery pickup service mentioned in this post, and received grocery shopping funds from Walmart in order to do so.
Have you tried Walmart’s online grocery shopping yet? Walmart Grocery pickup, designed to save you time! You not only get the lowest prices but you can also avoid lines, crowds, and save your sanity… you know what I mean if you have to shop with kiddos!
Just place your order online, choose a time slot, and your order will be loaded directly into your car at your local Walmart! You can get your order as fast as same day and they offer 2- to 4-hour windows for pickup. Pickup is free, no charges or fees!
The site is easy to use. You can shop by what’s trending in your area, essentials, shopping history or by department including home goods, items for pets, electronics, laundry, office and more, its not just groceries. Or if you happen to use the Walmart app, it highlights products inspired by your shopping history.
When you checkout, all you need to do so is select your local Walmart and the time you would like to pick up. The first time slot is 8-9 a.m. and the last pick up time is 7-8 p.m.
When you pull into Walmart, you will see signs and lanes directing you straight to the dedicated pickup area. Once you pull in, there is a specific phone number for you to call to let them know you are in the waiting area.
When I went for pick up, there was one person in front of me so I did have to wait about 10 minutes. The manager came out to help load all the products into my car. Two of the items I ordered they happened to be out of. You do have the option when you order to have your items replaced with ‘like’ items if they happen to be out. I am particular so I did not select that option. The manager went over the receipt with me and told me about those items.
The one downside is that there is no way to use coupons. Well, you could take the receipt back into guest services but that would defeat the purpose of curbside pickup! I am not sure how they could add that as a feature, but it would be nice to see if they could!
Another feature I would love to see is Walmart Grocery as an option on the Walmart app. As it is now, you have to visit the website. I would like to see everything all together, by logging into the app which I already use for the Savings Catcher, and having online pickup ordering tab.

December 29, 2016 at 7:17 pmI haven’t tried their pickup services yet. I’d like to try it because when I have both of my grandsons with me it’s really hard to shop with them. This would be much easier and I wouldn’t have to stand in a long line waiting to check out.

December 29, 2016 at 7:19 pmI would love to try this service because I hate the crowds and waiting in line at the grocery store. I could shop for groceries at any time, and simply pick them up after work.

December 29, 2016 at 7:41 pmI would love to use this service. Would be terrific to order groceries at work and then stop to pick them up on the way home. This would save me so much time and money — not going into the store and tossing extra items in the cart would save me tons.

December 29, 2016 at 10:32 pmAlthough I would adore the easy process, I’m not sure I’m ready for curbside pickup yet. With food, I like ot check it over, make sure it’s fresh/not squished/etc. I don’t know if I’m ready to let go of control yet 🙂

December 30, 2016 at 8:46 pmI haven’t tried it yet but I ALWAYS use Savings Catcher to earn money back without having to compare ads myself. I try to save up my savings for Christmas though I didn’t quite make it this year, we earned back $147.36 this year. Curbside would be great for those days when we need something in a hurry and I could get hubby to pick it up on his way home.

December 30, 2016 at 10:18 pmI hate braving the grocery store alone with two kids. When I go alone it’s definitely my “me” time, but when I need to take the kids this would DEFINITELY be the way to go!

December 31, 2016 at 12:38 amAbout as close as I have come to their pickup service is orderiing some things online and they were ready when I got there. I think this would be a good service for someone who didnt like grocery shopping, are too busy or it is too inconvenient. I would give it a go!

December 31, 2016 at 8:23 pmI haven’t tried a pick up service but I think it will help save time. I am online more lately so it makes sense to do my grocery shopping online too.

January 2, 2017 at 1:55 pmI have been trying out ordering groceries online, and having them shipped to the house. Often there is considerable damage, for instance, broken glass with the contents spilled out all over mixed with the glass, or sugar having broken open and spilling out, etc. The stores typically make good but I just want my items in good shape. Picking up at the curb would save the time and get you the savings, and no worry about your boxes getting stolen or damaged items – perfect!

January 2, 2017 at 4:04 pmI think this a good idea for people who have trouble getting around. I haven’t used it myself but may have to in the future.
