The Little Witch at School By SlimCricket
This story concerns Little Witch and the other witches and wizards at Chickenwich Elementary School taking their first witchery and wizardry examination. They need to transform their cuddly toys and give them new life by making their cuddly toys become the soul of their new sorcery book. That way, their favorite toys will stay with them throughout their lives. Several games (or exercises) need to be completed with your kiddo’s help so that the Little Witch can pass her exam. The games include a paint-by-number activity, form the magic words (spelling game), go through the ogre’s stomach (a follow-the-pattern game), and answer the questions at the foot of the one-hundred-year-old tree to receive a piece of magic fruit. Find out why Little Witch has no name and how she created rainbow-colored magic that brought her cuddly stuffed animal to life, a feat that would be remembered at the school forever!
My son has enjoyed playing this newly released app about the Little Witch. The story offers both Ready To Me and Read by Myself and three difficulty levels that can be easily changed. One of the cool features of this story is the gyroscope effects; it makes the story almost “pop” when you tilt your device, and the screen image moves as well. There is also plenty of interactive fun on the pages with little blue dots to let you know what to touch. Be on the lookout for SlimCricket throughout the book as well; finding him and completing all the tasks will lead you to a surprise at the end of the book that you will need to unlock by playing the different games.
Features:
- * Fill in a magic coloring canvas using his/her knowledge of numbers
- * Find the right letters for the magic words “mouth, open sesame”
- * Go through an ogre’s stomach following a logical sequence
- * Answer the enigmatic questions of the “general magic” tree
- * Set the difficulty level depending on your child’s age
- * Touch, slide, shake, and lots of other games…
