    My father has a huge baseball card collection. He’d like this for Christmas. He says Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, and Lou Gehrig were all great players.

    I’d have to go with a player of a past era given all the recent prolific steroid use. I would say Jackie Robinson because of all that he accomplished professionally while dealing with the added pressure of breaking barriers and stereotypes.

    I don’t really follow baseball. I would probably choose Babe Ruth on most days. Today I’m going to say my nephew is the best ball player I know. He loves baseball.
