We all know Oreck Vacuums, right?!? The Oreck Company has designed a sleek looking vacuum called the Oreck XL Platinum Power Team Special Edition and the Oreck XL Gold Power Team. The Oreck XL Platinum is priced at $499.95, with the Oreck XL Gold priced at $449.95. Each vacuum comes with something extra. The Oreck XL Platinum comes with a special edition ultimate handheld vacuum, a $250 value. The Oreck XL Gold comes with the deluxe handheld vacuum, a $200 value! I received the Oreck XL Platinum vacuum and I’ll never use my old vacuum again. Being that our house is up for sale, I try to sweep every day. We’ve got white carpets in all the bedrooms and three area rugs throughout the house. The Oreck has the sucking power of 2, maybe even 3 vacuums. I swept with my old vacuum, then used the Oreck and it was able to pull those chip pieces out of the carpet that was deep down!

I also love the fact that this vacuum traps dust and allergens with the built in filtration system. Unlike bagless vacuums that leak particles in the air the vacuum bag locks in dirt, dust, allergens until bag is disposed. No more particles flying around while you are sweeping. The Oreck is a true clean! The Oreck made me realized how important it is to have a exceptional vacuum and that’s just what the Oreck company is all about.

With my old vacuum the power button was on the bottom of the base. Mini Me would step on the vacuum and turn it on, without me being around. Needless to say, she’s now afraid of vacuums! With the Oreck XL Platinum vacuum the power button is on the handle, where it should be!

The Oreck Special Edition vacuum weighs less than 8 pounds. This would be a great vacuum for my Mother in Law. She tends to burn up vacuums and often complains that they are to heavy for her to push them around. If she’s nice, I may just have to purchase her a Oreck for Christmas!

  45. I could seriously use a new vacuum but I really like the look of their air purifiers – love that you can tip them on their sides. It would be nice to get all the cat dander, etc out of the air so I could try one day without allergy medicine!

  63. I would LOVE to have the Oreck Halo UV-C Vacuum Cleaner. I help with animal rescue and have 4 dogs and 2 cats of my own. It goes without saying we need a fantastic vaccum to keep up with the pet hair level in our house! 🙂
