The K’NEX  Mini Golf Building Set came in a large box with 3,100 connector parts and pieces and is for the kid/parents who like to build, like my son and his dad. First, you need to come up with a system to store all the pieces until they are used. We found Red Solo cups that worked great so we separated all the pieces and put them in each cup.

My 7-year-old wants to play golf like Dad so this is a “start” and will appease him for many years to come, he also loves to build things! He likes to figure out how the piece fit together and sees it as a challenge. This is a great toy for these types of kids because it was just hard enough to keep him intrigued but also easy enough that he did not get frustrated.

The manual was easy for him to follow and to read. There are nine holes to build along with the two clubs. This is not something you can make overnight. Each hole took about 2-3 hours to build but the excitement afterward was rewarding. Each hole is different and comes with a different set of challenges and obstacles that even keep my 5- year-old interested. With that being said it also takes up a lot of room while building it and when playing with it.

Mini Golf Building Set

We have had fun playing the game with my sons friends and our family so far. It can also be used inside or out.  A large finished basement is a wonderful place for the course. After all our play the pieces still stay together too, we have not had any break while playing. That is a bonus! If you have child that likes to build, this is a great present!

Looks like fun. Nice that the child needs to build before they can golf!
