The new line of FROZEN Crest + Oral-B Pro-Health JR. toothpaste and toothbrushes, featuring characters from Frozen have been released! In conjunction, a new app has been released called, The Disney Magic Timer App by Oral-B. This interactive oral care App for kids can help increase brushing time, and will now feature Frozen characters, including Elsa, Anna, and Olaf.

Getting my kids to brush for the full 2 minutes (if at all!) can be challenging. Crest and Oral-B have partnered with actress Kristen Bell to create a video highlighting the challenges parents face in exciting kids about brushing.
Oral–B Pro–Health JR. CrossAction Toothbrush is designed for kids aged eight through 12, with soft, angled CrissCross bristles that clean between the gaps in kids’ changing teeth, including those who have braces, removing plaque in hard-to-reach places.
Crest Pro–Health JR. Fluoride Anti-cavity Toothpaste is made just for kids aged eight through 12, and comes in a great, kid–friendly mint flavor while preventing cavities and freshening breath.
Oral–B Pro–Health JR. Pulsar Toothbrush is designed for kids aged eight through 12, this brush gets into the tight spaces and gaps commonly found in kids’ changing mouths. With gentle vibrating bristles, its deep cleaning power helps break up plaque.

Make brushing fun. Use a song to time how long to brush.

I wish I had some tips for getting my kids to brush their teeth. Currently they seem to just ignore me when I ask. Then, I have to yell at them to do it. Sometimes they do it then, but sometimes they lie and say they already did even though their toothbrushes are still dry. Sigh!
Judy Lipcsak says
I have tried a few things; egg timers, singing… The thing that worked best was a toothbrush with a timer that changes from green, to yellow, to red. Like a traffic light.

We use a reward chart for our grandchildren. If they brush good after each meal and bed time they get stars for each time they brush. They then turn in the stars for toys when we go to the store.

I like to find characters they like for their toothbrush or toothpaste. I also think a battery operated toothbrush adds to the excitement.

I start my grandchildren very early by brushing their teeth when they only have a few. By the time they are 2 with a mouthful, it is an established routine.

My son loves to brush his teeth. If you allow a child their independence of letting them brush by themselves, then there usually won’t be a problem getting them to brush their teeth.
Jen V says
When my kids were toddlers, we did the reward chart thing. Now that they are a bit older, fear of getting cavities filled at the dentist is generally enough of an incentive to get them to brush their teeth without having to be reminded.
Vera Wilson says
Leave the toothpaste out in their bathroom. If visable will be more likely to brush.

The kids are so young, they just enjoy if we help them right now during teethbrushing. My great niece is getting to the point where she can do some of it by herself, and we use songs to help her remember where to brush and how to brush 🙂
Wendy Caddy says
Be consistent, that shows it is important. If it is time to brush teeth, go with them. Stay positive, encourage them. Then I check their teeth and brush and floss them myself if they still need it. Never miss tooth brushing time.

I’ll admit that I still help my younger daughter brush her teeth. I wasn’t really great about doing it with her but I felt so guilty about all the cavities. I brush first and then she brushes.

The best way is to show by example, if they see you brush they will want to brush. Another way is to take them to a dentist and have them tell them how important it is to brush.

I don’t have any kiddos of my own yet, but my nieces would love this. They love the characters in Frozen!

We usually go in together and brush our teeth. Or sometimes we like to have a contest who can make their teeth cleaner. It’s mostly always a tie. 🙂
