I signed my daughter up with a children’s book club and they would send her 6 books each month to read. I also would sign my daughter up with the book club at the public library during the summer months to keep her reading fresh throughout the year.

I think that you need to be involved in what they are reading. Ask questions and let them tell you about what they have learned.

I always offer to read books to my great niece and great nephew. They like it better when I make up voices for the characters. I also know that in order to get them to read or listen, the television and all electronics must be off or put away 🙂
