Children love to read. They also enjoy being read to. Valentine’s books for kids are a great way to share this love and help children find joy in reading. Below are three new releases from Candlewick Press to share with your little love!
Huggy Kissy by Leslie Patricelli
When you’re an adorable bald baby, your family finds lots of ways to show you how much they love you: Mommy lifts you uppy, Daddy kisses you on the tummy, and everyone wants to snuggle. What’s not to love? With comedy and warmth, Leslie Patricelli offers a universal tribute to love and affection in a board book full of instant appeal for little valentines everywhere. Ages baby-3 years.
Olive and the Big Secret by Tor Freeman
When Molly shares a secret with Olive, she has strict instructions NOT to share the secret. Well, I bet you can guess what Olive does! Olive learns the hard way that keeping secrets is tough, and telling them can make for a whole lot of trouble! Ages 4-8
Love Waves Midi edition by Rosemary Wells
I love Rosemary Wells ever since my 13-year-old was a little one; it all started with Max and Ruby! Love Waves are what we send to our loved ones until we can be together again. Rosemary Wells offers an ingenious way to ease the separation anxiety many children feel when parents go to work or live in separate homes when close friends or relatives move or live far away, or whenever a loved one’s absence calls for an extra dose of reassurance. Ages baby-3 years old.
