After the events of Hotel Bruce, our favorite curmudgeonly bear shares his home with not only his four geese but three rowdy mice! Fed up with their shenanigans, Bruce sets off to find a rodent-free household. But as usual, nothing goes quite according to plan…
Bruce’s Big Move is third in the series right behind Hotel Bruce and Mother Bruce.
Take a sneak peek inside the book:
Before you read this book with your kids talk to them about moving. If you have ever moved, what was the best part of moving? Why? What is the difference between taking a vacation and moving? What is your favorite part of your home? Why?

moving can be difficult, if you do not prepare well in advance. I have moved a few times and yes it is time consuming but it does not have to be hectic, the help of the family helps a lot 🙂
I haven’t moved a ton over the years, but it can be a challenging and overwhelming experience, especially with children involved. My tip for moving is to do a good job of labeling everything and don’t be afraid to ask friends/family for help.
I move last year and it was no fun was not ready my tip is to be prepared box up all your
stuff before you move
I like Bruce books. I have moved a few times and I dislike moving very much. It is so much work but it is nice to get into a new place and that sometimes makes it worth it.
I have moved several times in my life! My moving tips are to pack as much as you can into boxes so it will take less trips to load the moving van. Also, be sure to ask for help when moving. It is too overwhelming to pack and move alone.
I have moved so many times that I have lost count! The best part of moving has always been sorting and purging unneeded stuff! My moving tips are to start packing early and make lists to keep yourself organized and on schedule. I don’t have any kids so I’ve never had to talk to children about moving.
I’ve moved several times. I hate it. Best advice I can give is start packing early and enlist lots of help.
I have moved from two different states before and i is a lot of work! My best tip is to make lists to keep organized!
i have moved a round a lot and well the best thing of moveing is some times you get to see diffent places and things and get to meet a lot of diffent ppl and yes its a lot of work on moveing and some times you have to strat from nothing to get back to haveing the things you lost as well but in all it all pays off.
We just moved a year ago from a place we had been living in for 25 years. We are older and you can save a lot in 25 years. It was not fun moving.
My children have really enjoyed the other Bruce books! This one looks like so much fun and I can’t wait to read it to them!
I only moved twice in my life though it was hard nothing as to how many times my husband had to move as a kid. He is affected to this day because of it . We never moved our daughter went through all of school with kids she knw played with and lived near …it does make a difference in the psyche of a child. My only tip is DONT MOVE.
I like movies that do printables. Prepare kids for moving by letting them help.
Oh I have to say, we love the first Bruce books, and are so excited for this one to come out! Oh he gets us laughing to hard! This looks like another fun one! I have not moved for quite some time, but our little one did have a friend that moved to a new city this fall…and is no longer in his class. He is sad…it is so very hard for the little ones.
I grew up moving alot due to being in a military family. I adjusted easier then my sister did. It can be for kids. Especially of they re quiet shy kids.
Moving can be so hard. When I talk to my nieces and nephews about it, I tell them about the time we moved for only ten months. A thousand miles, so much disruption, and we stayed there less than a year, but I made two friends who are still my close friends forty years later. I try to get them to see that you can’t tell at the time what you’ll get from a move, so just be open to it. Change it still hard for me, so I don’t push too hard as I wouldn’t want to hear a lot of Pollyanna advice, but this came from hard-earned experience.
I have moved a few times in my life but thankfully not too often. My best tip when moving is to clearly label all of your boxes and if you also label which room the box goes in it can make things go fairly smooth.
