This year, Bob Evans will be offering their wildly popular Farmhouse Feast Meal for the holidays. Come to find out these meals are only available for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. I was able to pick up a feast last week for this review and boy am I glad I got this opportunity! The meal is available to serve 4 or 8 and comes cold, I wasn’t expecting that. But I am glad that it did come cold, that way we can pick it up at our convenience, prepare it and have it all ready at the time we need. I received the sliced hickory smoked ham, so the start time was 2 hours before our planned 6:00 dinner.
The Bob Evans Farmhouse Feast comes with Slow-Roasted Whole Boneless Turkey Breast Or Sliced Hickory-Smoked Ham. It is served cold so you need to allow 1.5 hours to heat and prepare. The feast comes with:
- Slow-Roasted Whole Boneless Turkey Breast or Sliced Boneless HIckory-Smoked Ham
- Bread & Celery Dressing
- Green Beans with Ham
- Buttered Sweet Corn
- Mashed Potatoes with Gravy
- Cranberry Relish
- Dozen Rolls
- Freshly Baked Loaf of Pumpkin Bread
- Whole Pumpkin Pie with Whipped Topping
We invited the grandparents over for dinner but we hid all the evidence. All was good and they were none the wiser until during dinner my six-year-old blurted out, “Guess where we got all the food?” Grandma proceeded to list all the grocery stores, Walmart…No…Sams…No…”We got it from Bobs!” he said proudly. We were so close to pulling it off too! Everything tasted great and we had plenty of leftovers for the next day. We did swap out the pumpkin pie for cherry, which was not a problem. The only thing I would get more of is the rolls, which you can add on.
In addition to having a homemade dinner, you have the option to donate to the Farmhouse Feast Donation Program. This program started as a grassroots effort in 2010 by restaurant employees, Bob Evans is once again offering the Farmhouse Feast donation program. Thanks to generous donations from guests, more than 5,300 Farmhouse Feasts were purchased and delivered by our employees to local charities last year. Now through Dec. 25, you are invited to join Bob Evans in helping to make the holidays brighter for area families by making $1, $5 or $10 donations in restaurant or online. The donations made will go towards purchasing the Farmhouse Feast and donating to charities in your community, providing a complete holiday meal for families in need. You can order one online now for your family to enjoy at http://www.bobevans.com/onlineordering. When ordering, be sure to make a donation to help put a meal on tables of hungry families around your community this season.
