I am a self proclaimed penaholic! I get into trouble when I head to the office supply store though. I love collecting pens and markers, especially since I scrapbook, I figure that I could always use them to do my pages. My kids stumbled across my box o’ pens last year that I had been collecting since I was a teenager. It contained all types of pen from places that I have traveled to along with some pens that were oddly shaped and some that were quite expensive. Needless to say, they thought it was pretty cool and they did manage to talk me into letting them have some to take to school.
While at Office Max, I found a 24 pack of Glam 80’s Sharpies that I had not seen before. I love the muted and pastel colors that are in the pack! Normally I purchase just plain black but when I saw these I had a great idea on how to use them for a teachers gift. Teachers love Sharpies, right!
Why should a teacher gift only be given few times throughout the year? I created 10 months of little gifts to give the teacher at the beginning of each month. In addition to the Sharpies, I found a variety of Paper Mate Ink Joy pens on sale so the bundle includes both!
Click to Download Back To School Monthly Sharpie Gift Tags (Downloads are for personal use only). I themed each bundle to the colors that each month represented. Simply bundle your pens, tie with ribbon or bakers twine and attach the gift tag. You could even attach a baggie of candy to the bundle if you wanted. The fonts I used on the tags include Basshole and Appleberry.
This will be the first year that my kids will present their teacher with a monthly gift. Do you give your teacher a Back To School Gift?
