TreeSmart is dedicated to not only helping the environment, but the education of our children in getting involved in the recycling process. At TreeSmart, you can find rolled up recycled pencils, colored pencils, mechanical pencils, and newspaper/plastic rulers. The pencil case and mechanical pencils made from reprocessed plastic, currency, or newspaper materials.

Treesmart Newpaper Pencils

Back in 2010, TreeSmart began manufacturing in Oregon, where the production process has been refined to create a high-quality pencil crafted from recycled material in an eco-friendly environment. Whole newspaper sheets are rolled around high quality No. 2 graphite. No toxic chemicals are used in manufacturing and the eraser tips are latex free. A special adhesive formula binds the newsprint together into a cohesive core that is hard as wood. The pencils sharpen easily and last longer than wood pencils. And so, the TreeSmart Newspaper Pencil was born!

TreeSmart Student All Star Set

TreeSmart’s process for using recycled materials produces a complete line of pencil cases, school supply boxes and mechanical pencils fabricated from potato chip bags, candy wrappers, and other snack packaging materials, keeping these non-biodegradable materials out of landfills. Mixed with recycled plastic, the products are attractive and durable.

TreeSmart Mechanical Pencils

TreeSmart’s School Recycling Program is a great way to teach children about the benefits of recycling first hand, and can be an excellent Fund-raiser or Service Project for your school.

Make sure you buy more than just what’s on the list when all the supplies are on sale. I know for my high school girls they run out of things during the year, so I stock up on pens, pencils, notebooks, notecards, etc.

My best back to school tip is to relax! Children are young for such a short time and while school is important so is play.

My best back to school tip is to start going to bed early at least a week before school starts, that way you and the little ones are already getting used to going to sleep earlier than those late summer nights. 🙂 Making sure they are well rested will help them feel their best during the day. 🙂

My best back to school tip is to have everything set out the night before. If they take their lunch, have that set out & ready to go as well.

I always have the kids go to bed earlier a week before school. This always has them prepared for the first day of school and I don’t hear I am tired lol.

One of my best back to school tips is to check the prices on school supplies, make a list for each store, and get them all in one day. Save time & money. 🙂

#1 tip…..start your new sleep/wake up schedule a few weeks in advance and #2 lay out clothes the night before. This really helps with the morning flow.

Love back to school and all the prep for it. I think getting the kids into a routine is super important. Also have reasonable expectations for school and the year.

My tip is to start every year off fresh. Do not hold onto any stressors or grudges from previous years. Make this one count!

My best back to school tip is to get as much prepped the night before to make sure the mornings go a bit smoother. Mornings can be quite hectic and having as much done ahead of time can be very helpful.

My back to school tip is buy extra school supplies when they are on sale because when you run out during the school year it is more expensive and in some cases how to find.
