Nerd Block

Do you have a geek at home? What about a teenager? I recently stumbled onto Nerd Block and thought this would make a great gift idea for my 14 year old son. The Nerd Block is a monthly subscription service that sends a box of nerdy goodies to your door every month. In each box you will find toys, games, collectables, and a t-shirt from all kinds of companies like Marvel, Nintendo, Star Wars, DC Comics, and Wizkids.

My kids enjoyed our first Nerd Block, there was something for all of them to play with. What kid doesn’t like getting mail, let alone a box filled with toys, mystery figures and collectables?

Here is what what was in my February 2014 Block Box:

Nerd Block

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial Collectible Miniature Figurine – Includes 1 of 6 figures

Nerd Block 1

HALO ActionClix Battle Pack – 3 Pack of Collectible Minifigs for the ActionClix game. My son is a huge HALO fan so he is in love with these figures and quickly added them to his HALO self! ActionClix is an action-packed game where you can play as your favorite characters from the HALO Univerise.

GelaSkins – Playful Gorilla Presents the 80’s – These are repositionable stickers for your smartphone (or other electonic devices) which feature popular 80’s charters. The characters heads include Jem, Duke, Megatron, He-Man, Battlecat, Voltron, Optimus Prime, Cobra Commander, Lion-O, and Panthro.

Power Rangers MegaForce Mashems – You can mash’em, twist’em, squish’em, and pull’em! This capsule features 1 of 6 little figures.

The Smurfs Tag-Athon Collectable Game Piece  – This booster pack contains 1 collectable minifigure game piece, 8 available in all. Help the Smurfs free Papa Smurf from Gargamel’s lair and find their way home. Choose between 8 of your favorite Smurf characters as you rack up points by tagging other players in this fun-filled yet simple game!

Nerd Block

Marvel The Wolverine MiniMates 2 Pack – Features Undercover Viper and Black Clan Ninja. Each Minimate stands 2 inches tall and includes a variety of interchangeable parts and accessories.

Nerd Block

Nintendo Metroid Block T-shirt – I received the ladies fit tee but you can also order a mens fit with your subscription. I had to ask my kids what this was as I had no idea. Come to find out, Metroid s a series of science fiction action-adventure video games by Nintendo. My son was mad that it was a ladies fit!

Nerd Block

The adult Nerd Block runs $19.99 plus shipping, which isn’t bad considering just the Wolverive Figures were $9.99 and the T-shirt was at least $9.99.

Metroid Tshirt

Also available is the new Nerd Block Jr. for kids ages 6-11 and is available in a boys and girls version only it does not include a t-shirt like the adult block. The Jr. Nerd Block runs $13.99 plus shipping.

There’s been a service like this since July 2012, a US based one that Nerd Block copied:

    Loot Crate
