Oceanhouse Media Christmas Apps: The Grinch, Rudolph & The Berenstain Bears Trim The Tree

This post may contain affiliate links and/or Amazon Affiliate links. Please see my full disclosure policy for details.

Oceanhouse Media has several great holiday classics for your iPad and iPhone (The Grinch is also available for Android and Nook). We recently had the chance to try several of them out. My four year old has been watching and listening to these non stop since I received them. His favorite is Rudolph though. Although we have plenty of Berenstain books, we have never read The Berenstain Bears Trim The Tree before so this was a new one for us. This one offers the a new flip the flap feature. These are all great books!

How The Grinch Stole Christmas! by Dr. Seuss

How The Grinch Stole Christmas! App Review

The Grinch hates Who-ville’s holiday celebrations, and plans to steal all the presents to prevent Christmas from coming. But the Grinch soon discovers the true meaning of the holiday, changing his heart forever.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer App Review

POOR RUDOLPH! All the other reindeer make fun of his bright red nose and won’t let him play in their reindeer games. But when Christmas is almost cancelled because of a huge snowstorm, Rudolph comes to Santa’s rescue!

Like Rudolph himself, this digital book is special. It includes custom music, background audio, enlarged artwork for each scene, and authentic audio clips from the timeless 1964 TV special! The app also includes special effects for Rudolph’s glowing nose and falling snow!

The Berenstain Bears Trim the Tree by Jan & Mike Berenstain

The Berenstain Bears Trim the Tree by Jan & Mike Berenstain App Review

With Christmas just around the corner, everyone is helping out. Brother and Sister hang the wreath, Papa trims the branches, and Honey Bear puts the star on top! This festive holiday story is perfect for bedtime, or anytime, and is sure to put your whole family in the Christmas spirit! My son likes the new lift the flap feature that, when you click on the picture it opens to reveal a surprise.

There are three ways that you can enjoy this book:

  •  ”Read to Me” — listen to the narrated story with words highlighted as they are read
  •  ”Read it Myself” — read the book in its traditional form
  • “Auto Play” — plays like a movie, automatically reading and turning pages. Great for younger children!
